The Good, The Bad & The Crazy #2

Day 363: Busy old week last week. Especially the weekend! Looking forward to a week of work, despite the workload it gives me structure and routine! Just realised I said ‘week’ a lot there.

The Good: Running and Yoga. Survived trips to the Opticians and Chiropodist too. The Wordle streak continued (21 in a row as of yesterday)

My youngest daughter turned 3 years old on Saturday so the weekend has been a bit hectic but we had some great family time. On Saturday morning after presents and brunch we headed to the very cold coast to check out the seaside. It was freezing! The fairground was closed but the amusement arcades were open so the girls spent some money in there then we had a brief wander onto the beach. Fish and chips followed before a stroll over to a nearby park for an ice cream.

Sunday was her party and as with any kid’s party it was loud, manic and tiring but they all had a great time and it was nice to catch up with a few of the other parents I hadn’t seen for a good while.

The Bad: The cold snap continues and the weather does nothing for general mood in the household. Hoping for milder climates in the coming days. Work was a bit stop start too with IT issues and general fatigue with myself. Didn’t get as much done as I’d have liked which then annoys me and I carry that over!

And don’t get me started on the internet speed in the house. Can’t seem to get through a day at work without the bandwidth going slimmer than a needle. As for watching a film via one of the steaming services…

The Crazy: What is crazier for a parent than a birthday party? My two girls behaved which was the main thing but it was funny watching a few toddler stand offs and scraps. Nobody was seriously hurt may I add.

I could mention Putin and the fact I’m half expecting to get drafted by the British Army to fight in WWIII but I’m not sure any of us need that anymore than what we are seeing and hearing on the News daily.
